Overview
The blessing system in Legend of Ares is for upgrading items to acquire more damage or armor as you progress through each plus. This system uses a percentage based success rate.
Upgrading Weapons
Any weapon in Legend of Ares can be upgraded to a max of +15 using "Scroll of Destruction". These scrolls come in different variants: Scroll of Destruction, Scroll of Destruction +1, Scroll of Destruction +2 and Scroll of Destruction +3 to name a few. The first variant can be purchased from the Accessories Merchant NPC in Etana. To use the scrolls, you need to right click the scroll, then left click the item.
Items that are considered weapons are Swords, Spears, Staffs, Bows, Orbs or anything else that gets placed into the left weapon slot in your character window.
[Weapons] Upgrading from 0 - 4
Weapon upgrades from 0 - 4 should use "Scroll of Destruction" which you can get from the Accessories Merchant NPC in Etana. These scrolls from 0 - 4 cannot fail. It should be noted that you can use +1, +2 and +3 Scrolls of Destruction from 0 - 4 if you wish.
[Weapons] Beyond +4
After you have reached +4, you will no longer be able to use Scroll of Destruction, you will need to use the other variants, +1, +2 and +3 etc. As they say they add the + figure to your weapon.
Example: A player has a +4 weapon and uses Scroll of Destruction +3 on it, if successful then item then will be a +7 weapon.
Where are +1, +2 and +3 scrolls found?
These can be found from killing monsters or looking in players vendors that are selling them.

Blessing Failing
Before attempting to bless your items, its important to understand the consequences of failing.
- If blessing failure occurs from +3[Armors] and below or +4[Weapons] and below, the item will go back to +0 and will not be destroyed.
Example: Upgrading a weapon from +4 to +7, if this fails, the weapon goes back to +0.
- [Weapons] Failing at +6 or higher will result in the weapon staying at +6 but being destroyed.
- [Armors] Failing at +5 or higher will result in the armor staying at +5 but being destroyed.
Example: Upgrading a weapon from +6 to +9, if this fails, the weapon stays at +6 but will be destroyed.
Retrieving Destroyed Items
Destroyed items can be retrieved from the Sanctuary Priest NPC in each sacred land for a cost under Restore Cost . The higher the plus value, the more expensive the resurrection cost.
Unique Resurrection
Unique items are far more superior than non - unique items and therefore incur a different approach to being able to resurrect them. In order to resurrect unique items, three key items are required: Ancient Runes, Forging Flames and Fragments of Resurrection.
Ancient Runes
Ancient Runes can be collected by defeating mini bosses, demi bosses and bosses in the game and are tiered appropriately for the grade of unique when they are to be used. Currently there are 3 tiers: T5, T9 and T10. An Ancient Rune T5 will be needed to resurrect a grade 5 unique item as an example. Players must bring this item to the Etana Alchemist in order to use it.
Forging Flames
Forging flames can be collected by completing missions (shortcut key 'J' in-game) to earn Ares Adventure Tokens to be spent at the Exchanger in Etana and Hershal. Currently there are 3 tiers: T5, T9 and T10. A Forging Flame T5 will be needed to resurrect a grade 5 unique item as an example. Players must bring this item to the Etana Alchemist in order to use it.
Fragment of Resurrection
Fragment of Resurrections can be collected by recycling any uniques at any blacksmith within the game. The blacksmith will provide you the fragment of resurrection based on the grade of the unique item provided. Simply place the item into the menu slot and click 'Recycle'. Currently there are 3 tiers: T5, T9 and T10. If a grade 5 unique weapon is chosen to be recycled, then a T5 Fragment of Resurrection is provided in return. This process cannot fail. Players must bring this item to the Etana Alchemist in order to use it.

Alchemist
Once a player has collected all 3 items of the same tier (T5, T9 or T10) they may bring the items to the Etana Alchemist for a chance to craft their own Unique Crystal of Resurrection. This crafting process has varying levels of success, depending on the tier of item. If the result is a failure, then all items are destroyed.
