User Agreement for Legend of Ares

Welcome to Ares, an exciting and immersive online massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG). This User Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the terms and conditions that govern your use of Ares. By accessing or using the game, you agree to be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from accessing or using Ares.

1. Account Creation and Use:

You must create an account to access Ares. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and are solely liable for any activities conducted using your account.

2. Age Requirement:

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and play Ares.

3. User Conduct:

You are encouraged to play Ares within the guidelines of all applicable laws and regulations. PvP and competition for monsters (sometimes referred to as kill stealing) are core elements of the game. Outside of these, please refrain from any actions that are excessively harmful, offensive, or disruptive beyond normal gameplay, or that infringe on the rights of others. Play fair, and keep the fun going for everyone!

You agree to our Chat Rules that govern Discord and the ingame Legend of Ares chat.

4. Virtual Assets:

Ares may include virtual assets such as in-game currency, items, or characters. These virtual assets are owned by the game's publisher and are licensed to you for use in Ares.

You acknowledge that you do not own the virtual assets, and they may be modified, suspended, or deleted at the discretion of the game's publisher.

5. Prohibited Activities:

You shall not use any cheats, exploits, hacks, or third-party software that provides an unfair advantage in Ares.

You shall not engage in any form of unauthorized commercial activity or advertising within the game.

Reverse engineering of the game, its software, or any related technologies is strictly prohibited.

"Power Leveling" through any form that requires little or no effort from the player is strictly prohibited. Examples include:

Sitting in a spot where monsters or players cannot attack you, while your friend kills monsters with you in a party.
By any means - automatically attacking monsters while you are away from the computer.
Allowing (or paying) someone else to play your account to level up your character for you.

Account sales of any kind are strictly prohibited. Regardless of what is used to purchase the account.

Purchasing or selling in-game items for real-world currency is strictly prohibited. Please note that xCredits and daric/segel are not considered "real-world currency." xCredits will soon be fully tradeable, and we won’t penalize players using them in the meantime due to our currently outdated system.

6. Intellectual Property:

All intellectual property rights related to Ares, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, and patents, belong to the game's publisher. You shall not reproduce, modify, or distribute any game content without explicit written consent.

The game's publisher grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use Ares for personal and non-commercial purposes, as long as you comply with this Agreement.

7. Suspension and Termination:

The game's publisher reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to Ares for violating this Agreement or engaging in inappropriate conduct.

The publisher may also suspend or terminate the game service at any time without prior notice.

8. User-Generated Content:

Ares may allow you to create and share user-generated content (UGC). By submitting UGC, you grant the game's publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your content within the game and related promotional materials.

9. Third-Party Websites and Services:

Ares may contain links to third-party websites or services. The game's publisher does not endorse or assume responsibility for the content or practices of third-party websites.

10. Data Privacy:

Your use of Ares is subject to the game's Privacy Policy, which outlines how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

11. Updates and Modifications:

The game's publisher may release updates, patches, or modifications to Ares at its discretion. By continuing to use the game, you agree to accept these updates.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties:

Ares is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The game's publisher disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability:

In no event shall the game's publisher or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Ares.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Wyoming, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Wyoming, USA.

15. Subject to Change:

The publisher of Legend of Ares reserves the right to modify this User Agreement at any time without notice. Continued use of Ares after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review this agreement periodically. Changes will not be applied retroactively, and disputes will be governed by the version in effect at the time of the dispute. By accessing and using Ares, you agree to the most recent version of this User Agreement.

By accessing or using Ares, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this User Agreement. We hope you enjoy your journey in the captivating world of Ares MMORPG!
