Patch Notes [Version 53]

Version 53 of the patch, released on September 8, 2024, brings a range of improvements, changes, and bug fixes. One of the major additions is the introduction of DirectX 9 support in the game client, which aims to significantly improve performance and stability for most players. This feature is currently in beta, and players can toggle it on in the game launcher settings. Other improvements include making Scrolls of Destruction/Protection easier to use and adding a mission UI disclaimer regarding monster levels.

General changes include increasing the sell price of G9 and G10 items and adjusting the kill count of [PRIME] monsters, making each count five towards mission requirements. The level cut-off for mission monsters has also been adjusted, allowing players to kill monsters up to 20 levels below their own and still have them count toward missions.

Bug fixes addressed issues such as AI behavior, premium activation problems, and several other minor bugs like fixing Hyatt Commander spawn points and compensation items. There were specific fixes for Spearmen and Archers, with a bug that allowed Spearmen to inherit other classes' critical stats and Archer skill animations both being resolved. However, no significant updates were made for Knights or Mages, nor were there any changes to the website.

Improvements and Additions    
 


 

General

  • Massive game client overhaul introducing DirectX 9 support. This should drastically improve performance/stability for the vast majority of players as DirectX 9 is much more common. This is currently a beta-only feature as there's a high likely-hood that new (different) issues will surface in this client. To use it, navigate to your settings in your game launcher and there will be a "DirectX 9 (BETA)" option. Turn it on. If you find any issues, please report them and if they're major - you can switch back to the old client by turning off that same setting.

  • Improved Scrolls of Destruction/Protection that are bought from the accessory shop to not require confirmation when blessing, as these items cannot fail. Simply right click the blessing scroll and then left click the equipment.

  • Added a disclaimer to the Mission UI - "Monsters that are 20 levels or more below the player's level will not be counted."

 

Knight

  • No improvements or additions.


Spearman

  • No improvements or additions.


Archer

  • No improvements or additions.


Mage

  • No improvements or additions.

 


Changes and Removals    
 


 

General

  • Increased the sell price of G9 and G10 items.

  • Adjusted the kill count of [PRIME] monsters for missions. Each [PRIME] monster will now count 5 towards players missions.

  • Adjusted Mission level cut off for monsters to count towards the mission. It has gone from 10 levels to 20 levels. This means a player can kill monsters 20 levels lower at max compared to their own level and it will count.


Knight

  • No changes or removals.


Spearman

  • No changes or removals.


Archer

  • No changes or removals.


Mage

  • No changes or removals.

 


Bug Fixes    
 


 

General

  • Hot fixed a patch mid week to solve AI behavior issues and premium activation issues.

  • Fixed a bug where trading someone with guild bank open would cause it to get stuck.

  • Fixed a bug where right clicking an account bound CoR would consume it.

  • Fixed two of the Hyatt Commander spawns as it had bad coordinates causing it to get stuck. They will now only respawn within the camp they are assigned to.

  • Fixed bug with compensation item Ops of Fire, Water and Fire. These will now work.

  • Fixed a bug where Thread Weavers were incorrectly set to 950 exp instead of 1000 base. Primes were accurately adjusted as well.

  • Fixed a bug where Legacy Mantle had +10 all stats and it shouldn't have. (If it's not listed - it's not intentional.)

  • Fixed a bug where the quest advice window would tell you to talk to Baldney for the level 70 quest, when it should have been Moltikahn.

 


Knight

  • No bug fixes.


Spearman

  • Fixed a bug where spearman could randomly inherit another classes "BASE" crit stats. If they got lucky, they'd inherit an archers with 3% chance of double damage. For clarification, their base crit stats are the same as knights. 1% chance of +20% damage. This is unchanged by us. (Note -we couldn't force it to happen, so we doubt anyone intentionally abused this or knew they had this effect.)


Archer

  • Fixed bug for Archer skills Magic Shield and Speed Up causing double animation to play.


Mage

  • No bug fixes.
